Dear Guests,

Welcome.
Namaste. It will be a privilege to host you at CHANDERA KOTHI, Orchha. As hosts, we make all efforts to ensure that our guests have a happy and memorable visit. In doing so, it is important for us to be transparent and clear about what our guests can expect in the course of their stay.

Firstly, we would like to humbly reaffirm that CHANDERA KOTHI is a HOMESTAY and NOT a HOTEL and would request our esteemed guests to be aware whilst making this choice of accommodation.

As a homestay duly registered with the state government, we are governed by government policies and rules and have a few terms and conditions of our own for reasons of operational convenience, safety and security.

We request our guests to read all the “Terms & Conditions” mentioned below, before making the reservation.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS
Guests are requested to provide valid photo ID card with address (Including Children)

Guests who are Foreign Nationals / Passport Holders are requested to share copies of their documents (Passport & Visa details) for completing requisite paper work with local authorities

Guests are requested to pay 100% in advance (Bank Transfer / Paytm UPI ID) to confirm their reservations

Check in timing is from 2 pm onwards and Check out timing is at 11 am

We are  not yet a Pet friendly property but are working towards it.

We do not offer any lodging and boarding facilities for escorts, guides, drivers or any other staff accompanying the guest. However, we can help find a suitable paid facility in Orchha

On account of the small inventory of rooms, in case of any urgent maintenance or other logistic issues, we may have to accommodate the guest in a room that is different from the category chosen at the time of making the reservation. In such a case, subject to the availability of rooms, we will upgrade the room category for free. However, in case it is a downgrade of room category, we will compensate the difference between the two room categories at a fixed sum of Rs.1000/- per room, per night. In case of other circumstances that are beyond the control of the management wherein the management is forced to cancel the reservation, only the reservation amount which may have been paid by the guest will be refunded after due diligence and following Indian Vagabond LLP policy in this regard.

 

DINING
All meals are served in a designated Dining Area

Guests who wish to have any meal are requested to confirm the same at least six to eight hours prior to the scheduled meal timings. This helps us to plan the menu and procure ingredients afresh from the local market

Guests are requested to advise dietary constraints / food allergies, preference of Veg / Non-Veg (Options: Eggs, Chicken, Fish) at the time of making the reservation. This is especially relevant for Lunch & Dinner

Guests are requested to adhere to meal timings in the designated dining area

Breakfast Timings: 0800 hrs -1000 hrs

Lunch Timings:      1300 hrs – 1500 hrs

Tea Timings:         1700 hrs – 1800 hrs

Dinner Timings:     2000 hrs – 2200 hrs

Guests are requested not to take food, crockery and cutlery from the dining area to their rooms, Riverside or any other area 

Guests are requested not to bring outside food to eat in the rooms

Government rules prohibit us from providing room service 

GENERAL HOUSE RULES

 

Guests are requested not to hang or dry wet towels or garments on the wooden furniture inside the rooms or on the railings outside. They are welcome to do so at a designated place outside the house.

Guests can access the riverfront through a gate on the boundary. Gate will be closed an hour after sunset and will open at daylight. However, guests going to the river side, do so at their own risk. 

Guests are not allowed to entertain any third party / outsiders on the property or in the rooms  

If the guest or any other person with the guest causes any damage at the homestay, be it purposefully or carelessly, they will have to pay for it. However, this does not include regular wear and tear of an item
 

Guests are requested to communicate only with the owner or designated manager on duty to seek any clarifications or assistance and not directly with the other staff in any regard

Guests are requested to conduct themselves such, as not to cause any disturbance to other guests or the host family

Guests are not allowed to run a kitchen independently

 

ECO FRIENDLY PRACTICES

We change Bed & Bath linen once a week unless specifically requested for otherwise at the time of reservation

Guests are requested to dispose waste in the dustbin and NOT in the WC 

SMOKING is allowed in open areas away from the main house and guests are requested to dispose cigarette butts and packets safely 

Guests are requested to help maintain cleanliness of the premises, make required timely payments as due and adhere to the rules of the Homestay
